I purchased one of these cases for my camper trailer so it's permanently fixed, don't think I'd be toting it around unless some serious mods were made.
Haven't looked back at this thread for a couple of days but maybe something else in the mix might be to look at whether it's worth getting one of those netbook or EEEPC's, apparently they can have up to 7hours battery life
...end of the day it's another expense coupled with getting the deep cylce batteries for all the gear, decisions, decisions
