Brendan I'm with you on this one but not for a weekly pick
JJ your image was great but there are probably a number of factors which attributed too you being selected not just the image.
eg: length as a member, number of posts, who judges the image
Voting by your peers is good where the selection process can be drawn out
For a weekly competition I believe a panel of judges is more fair and consideration should be given for
a) experience
b) type of equipment used
c) processing software
