In the late 80s we spent 5 years on the road in it. We tool it 'everywhere' and never let us down. Since then it's only outing have been our annual holidays and for the last 6-7 years it taken us through the Victorian high country with no problems.

Unfortunately we are finding that we aren't as tough as we used to be and a long day in the truck knocks us about too much. It's also slow and we want to return to central Aust sometime soon. And then there is the eclipse in Cairns. I'll have long service leave by then and I'd like to see the top end again and catch the eclipse on the way home.

The new one is a 2002 model with 200,000km on it. It's in overall good nick, gets along (turbo), is comfortable (Stratos suspension seats) and the electric winch is easier on the old body than the hand winch. We want to add a few things to it - water tank, cargo barrier, storage compartments, good sound system ... Then I hope we enjoy it for at least a decade, perhaps two.
The woopie (as we call troopies) will last forever nothing wrong them.
Cheers Kev.
