Rob, Bias frames are taken just like darks, with the lens cover on the scope.. The difference is that Bias frames are of the shortest possible exposure your camera can do.. This will remove the read out noise of the camera, where as darks remove dark current noise, and bad pixels...
I really like this image, but agree with Doug.. once you start calibrating these images you'll be producing some really nice work... It took me weeks, months actually, to listen to Doug, when I finally did, my images came leaps and bounds... Flats make an amazing difference to images taken with SCT's.. as SCT's dont have the biggest image circle...
