Thanks for the post.

As you can appreciate the red text is used in the Manual to denote
something that appears on the display, which by no coincidence, is also
red.

This was the subject of a somewhat tongue-in-cheek poll on the Argo Navis
User's Group some time back.

We recommend you print the User Manual in black and white.
