Cat's Paw and Lobster Nebulae

Hello all...
Bit of an imaging drought down here right now - 2 clear early nights turned to thick mist 1-2 images into the session on BOTH nights!!

Managed to grab a couple of single iso1600, f5.6, 10min images of both objects with my new 300mm f4L lens + 1.4x extender (420mm FL).

Wish I had more to show...one day!

Also, larger stars look a bit "splatted" for want of a better word.
I'm using a 72mm Hutech LPS2 filter with a 72-77mm step down ring on the lens and wonder if this is contributing to the splattered star effect!?

Cheers
Doug
