I saw the contrail too. The planes are obviously not taking off from perth airport as my house is almost next to the airport and i still see them up high in the sky. My dads a airline engineer for qantas at perth air port so i will ask him more about it. If they are not stopping at the airport they must have a LOT of fuel.
