Here they are..
The fiber I found at work (NEC, where I used to work until couple of months ago). It was from old fiber cable, diameter was 0.3mm or so.
I believe you can use fiber from those decorative lights as well. Those fibers are thick enough to be easily seen in a FOV.
Just be careful they are easily broken and you can glue them on one side only.
