Yet another Eta Carina I Know!!

Eta Carinae Nebula..... After looking at the magnificent photo of this nebula posted by Peter Ward I decided to give it another go while I wait for my new scope ta arrive.
The temprature in the observatory was -1 degree C so cooling wasn't a problem.

I actually shot 9X 20min exposures and IP on an auto grade kept 8 of them. No darks or other calibration files were used. Too bloody cold out there to take them.

I was very happy with the performance of my G11 after I cleaned and regreased the mount last week. Guiding was very good, in fact way better than the last image I took with it.

Seeing was not as good as I had hoped with some atmospheric shimmer, even with 1/2m of snow on all the hills around me.

Telescope Vixen VC200L at 1800mm
Camera QHY8 cooled OSC
Guided using PHD and QHY5 through a ED80.

Happy with the result tonight but will see tomorrow.

Thanks for looking.
