My New Imaging Setup
Finally, I have my new C8 SCT setup for imaging. It's not strictly new, as the scope itself was purchased secondhand and the guidescope is a 9x50 spotting scope I purchased over 10 years ago. The picture shows it all.
C8 SCT
HEQ5 Pro MOunt
9x50 Guidescope with Starshoot Autoguider
Canon 300D SLR
Atik CCD
GSO Crayford Focuser
Flip Mirror
etc.
The whole setup is quite lightweight, thanks to the lightweight guidescope.
After a couple of weeks of rain and cloud, I have the telescope setup for some imaging tonight.
