Quite possibly the funniest moment I have ever seen while watching
lawn bowls on TV was seeing the sponsor signs in the background
being for a funeral company!
We played evening lawn bowls once years ago on a remote mining site.
Loaded with quite a bit of amber tranquiliser before and during the game,
we actually managed to start winning games after a few weeks,
much to the annoyance of the locals. Good times
