Nah on both. Take up coaching, its is safer and much more rewarding.
My lovely English friend Shelly (Shell), that I've known twenty-five years or so, gave up the game to have her two boys, even though she was considerably skilled and proficient - always playing in the top women's grades. Now she trains and warms up for a different team than her sons, but practices with both of them in her spare time. She says it is the most rewarding thing she has done, and her boys play a higher grade than their real ages.

If fitness is the game, it might help you and other any other players too for your own Department! Good leadership development too... the boss might even give you a better review in the future or even recommend an earlier promotion for initiative!
