Thanks Dave. The sky was fairly dark, and it was my first time out of town with my scope.
I forgot to mention that we also saw 2 shooting stars and lost count of how many jets (mostly flying west).
I have PMed and emailed Peter (cosmicap) a link to this thread in the hope that he will give a report as well.
It's late and I'm going to bed. I'll read the rest of the forum tomorrow.
