Peter, I am not keen on the idea of zoom binos because of narrower FOV and the more complicated lens system (never used one though). Here, I am only interested in wide FOV binos for handheld use for under $300, and want to get the best for the money. John & John, there is no need to get so fired up. They're only binos.
