Nothing taken the wrong way. You make some good points in your reply and after all this is what good forums are about - thoughts and opinions. My views arise not simply from the constant lateness of the publication but also the repeated changes of editorial staff in the last year or so. This may perhaps be due to illness or whatever. I actually picked up a copy of the AS&T February issue today. It is a nice looking magazine and I was especially pleased to see the return of David Frew's deep sky column. He was once a writer for S&S but clearly now has a more advanced medium for which his high quality accounts of the deep sky will be better appreciated. Yes I can see there are a few american pieces but given that the US magazine doesn't appear to be on the newsstands any longer I guess the non-US subscriber is getting the benefits of local and overseas content. Looking on the inside page it doesn't look like the magazine is produced by the U.S S&T but an Australian publisher called Paragon Media who produce several other Australian based magazines. Either way it is good to support Australian content.
