Handy tip for setting up your illuminated reticule eyepiece on a Newt.

Hi guys.

Not sure if this is common knowledge or not but I stumbled on this a little while ago and thought id share it in case it's not.

Also I'm not sure it this only works because of the way I have my focuser aligned in relation to the mount. Let me know if it works for you.

Attached is a diagram of the way I point my illuminator and it aligns the cross hairs perfectly with the movement of the scope. I don’t have to switch off the tracking to see where the star drifts to align the cross hair.
