2" barlow = can use with both 1.25" and 2" eyepieces.
1.25" barlow = can only use with 1.25" eyepieces.
they're probably no different optically, but just for the fact that you're getting a 30mm 2" ep u might want to barlow it to get a 15mm out of it as well
