Thanks Greg its good to hear that someone else has done this. Makes me feel a bit more confident, and cheers for the warning about the ribbon cable i hate those things, to fragile. To be honest considering the age of the camera i might just remove the filter and make it useless for anything other than astro. This will of course make the focus between viewfinder and sensor different, so i will have to use DSLR focus. Still considering though.
