I am from the east spent most of my life there and was glad when daylight saving came around each year, been in WA 7 years with the last 3 trialing daylight saving and i can tell you when it is 35oC at 5pm in the afternoon you can't wait for the sun to go down and because of our timeline location we already have half hour extra sunlight in the summer so adding an hour makes for a very long and hot day.
