Looks like the WA'ers have rejected daylight savings time (yet again) in their current referendum.
According to the ABC on-line article
"WA voters reject daylight savings", some 56% voted NO with 70% of the vote counted.
More interesting is the claim that the rejection was made on "
environmental grounds", according to Andrew Waddell of the WA Labor Party. (whatever that actually means)
Does this auger that the rest of the country will follow suit?
OR
Are Queenslanders and Western Australians just different
to us Australian South-Easterners?
(Personally, i don't really understand the rejection, because to me allocation of time should be made for our connivence and no because it is somehow morally right or wrong.)
