Latest from W.M.Keck Observatory

Hi All,

When I was at the Keck's last October they signed me up to their magazine "Cosmic Matters", I have just received the latest edition and thought it would be of interest to some on this forum.

Among other things I would draw attention to the pioneering work of Andrea Ghez that is covered in this edition. She has been working with the Keck's for over a decade, developing techniques to cancel out the effects of our atmosphere, in particular regard to imaging the high velocity stars in very close orbit around the 4.2 million solar mass black hole candidate at the centre of our galaxy, dubbed Sag A*, pronounced Sagittarius A star.
