Trevor,

Always great to read your in-depth comments on my work, and, this is no exception.

You're absolutely right about the fact that it seems like altogether too much is going on, but, hey, this is nature -- this is what is around us. I think it's a challenge to try and capture this type of chaos, as it were, in a meaningful way which can alarm as well as soothe.

I'm glad you found the red sprinkled in the background, which were the leaves of another tree. I had several versions of this image, with those leaves showing a bit more, a bit less, but, found this one to strike a balance. Thank you for looking!

The bent over tree certainly is a feature of it, the dark horizontal lines of that particular tree create a real feature that compliments the more vertical lines that fade into the background.

I really like the effect and overall look, at first glance this scene seemed too crowded to me but after some time spent, really dissecting the components within it I think it looks just great, virgin bush, a place where, maybe no one has been before.

I really like, in the far central background the small patches of deep orange or possibly ochre red. Not sure if it is foliage or maybe the terrain, I think they act as highlights that lift the image.

Well done, as usual

Trevor
Liz,

Why, thank you, kindly.
