Thanks for that info. being an old computer that I am happy to experiment with, I installed KUBUNTU. All I have to do now is find a compiled version of Kstars. I downloaded what I could find only to discover it needs compiling and to do this requires a host of other programs. Aaaaggghhh!
Does anyone know where they keep the compiled version?
