This day is always a day of mixed emotions. A day of remembrance. Both my grandfathers fought in WW1. yes they were in the Italian Army but remember the Italains were with the Allies in WW1, however, that seems to have been forgotten since WW2. It makes me proud to know that they fought with the Allies for a cause defending the Italian Alps. If either had died I wouldn't be here today. Then I feel pride for the Australians who also fought for the Allies in this War, the efforts, sacrifice and struggles... and then not only this war but then every other war but all those since including those happening today. We do live in the lucky country. Although bombed from our shores our shorelines have ever been invaded. Thankyou to all who have gone before us to make this country what it is today, to those who have bravely taken up the cause for freedom, for those who gave their all... even their lives to the end. You all make me proud to be an Australian. Lest we forget.
