Appreciate the comments Andrew.
We like the idea of being able to use an off the shelf DSLR and still get the quality in our images. It takes a lot of time in processing to bring out the Ha but it's definately in there to be extracted.
We highly recommend the 40D for astroimaging if you decide to take the plunge
