Thanks all for the comments. Ashley there is no field flattener. I have been told that it would improve the stars near the edges but all my shots have been taken without. Some time in the future I will get one. Hope this helps with your choice of scopes. I love mine. It looks great and as I said the focuser is a treat with the 10.1 as comes standard. The person I bought it from sais this scope he has allows him to split I think it was Sirius and its pup at 600x magnification. It sounds impressive but means little to me.
