Trevor your a brave man for standing up to him you could have gotton yourself into all sorts of trouble but secondly you should have told your wife little white lies can end up much worse in the end
Speaking as a girl that was in a 10 year relationship and was beaten up on a regular basis for 7 years i used to tell people or sorts of lies about where my black eyes came from i wish i had someone that could have helped me out i was too scared to leave then one day it just got two much and i finally went to the police and put an order on him yay go me it was the best thing i had ever done in my life now im not afraid to speak my mind and i wont take none of that abuse ever again

At least report the incident Trevor even if its not much there will be something on record if this guy offends again
