Most modern binoculars have a threaded hole under a screw off cap between the barrels, on the pivot axis - opposite end to the eyepieces. Might be a little picture or some words on the cap that give you a clue. Older binoculars (eg. my 1960's pair!) may not have this.

This one for sale will be plastic. If you have bigger binoculars, I'd go for a metal one. They sell for around $19-20.
