Have you heard of Gibson Research Corp?

www.grc.com & do a 'SHIELDS UP' check. This simple test will see how secure your comp. is. (according to them, of course). But, seeing as Steve Gibson writes all the stuff himself & has programs installed in/on the International Space Station, I think his bona fides is O.K.
Whilst there, check out his free very small programs, (<30k), which are very handy for Windowze users. (unplug 'n play, shoot the messenger etc).
Lots of good reading there as well......
The article on 'Denial of Service' by a 15? yo. is very interesting.
I did a test a few months ago & came up all green. No probs.
