As per previous comments about scopes, I have heard this many many times over the years about scope choice / size.

I have both a 10 inch Meade which I take out when its a New Moon weekend.
But my little 4.5 inch ( 114mm ) scope gets out more often than the big one as its easy and portable.
I hope I didnt bore you, but the above words are so true.
