Lightbulb Absolution From Your Original Confession?

Hey Jen (and others of your ilk),

Other than the strange direction this seemingly lost post has gone, perhaps it is now worthy to reconsider the original confession and bring the discussion back on track...

I.e.

THAT HAS NEVER WATCHED ANY OF THE STAR TREK MOVIES / SERIES
One thing we are all dying to know is how or when you are going with taking up watching some of the six (or seven) Star Trek series or one of the movies?

Other than drinking various forms of the green stuff to a complete stupor (I noticed Midori wasn't mentioned, by the way) have you been tempted to find out a little more and actually watch some Trek - at least so the rest of us can sleep well at night!! (Naturally when it was cloudy! )

NOTE: I actually just watched again Star Trek : Enterprise in Series 2, with the great episode "Carbon Creek", which might be a good starting point. I don't know if it is really as good as Wife Swap that you mentioned before, but it does have some intrigue and is not at all "dated."
I watched this same episode for the first time in about two or three years and thought it was pretty good - probably made in the tradition of the original series - being not overly too sci-fi.
Else have you come to the decision / conclusion that this is all a now bit to kooky or odd for you liking?
Also does any of the many Star Trek devotees have any other suggestions of the best Star Trek episodes for newbees so the might become interested in watching it - and at least become enlightened like many of us.
