Spacejunk?

Hello all

As my EQ6 was DOA I'm stuck with a tripod so I figured what the hell, do some star trails to get a feel for the camera.

About 5 seconds before the end of a 30 min exposure I captured a brilliant blue-green light show traveling south on a polar line.
Much slower & brighter than your average meteor it was more like a fast moving flare.

Anyone know what it might have been?

40D, 30min exp, 18mm, f6.3, ISO 200, cropped & heavily saturated to bring out the colour.

Oh yes, my first astro image in the forum
