No offence Kal, but this is probably the worse advice i have ever heard given.

The fact that the time was wrong gives absolutley no indication that its open to attack from worms etc. mine wasnt patched, and i have Sophos, Peer Gaurdian, and a whole host of other stuff on my main box, its locked up tighter than a drum. Regarding patches, any IT professional will tell you, downloading patches to windows immediately is not great advice. i would wait, wait and see what reports come back on new patches, its my experience that patches, especially those that just say "a patch to fix a security vulnerablility" or similar, can quite often cause more trouble then they are worth, as invariably things that use a connection to a backend source get fubbar'd, many a time i have seen these patches installed that stuff up an SQL connection etc. Another one was the Microsoft UAA Hi-Def sound patch, that wiped out sound on almost all PC's with a Realtek Sound chipset.

I would far rather pick what patches i wanted or installed, than give carte blanche to Microsoft to just come down the magic wires and install any damn thing they wanted.
