Don't take my ribbing for serious enquiry. If they gave you a warranty then you know you won't have to use it, as simple as that. Anyway, you haven't done anything structural, so no problemo probably. Besides, I'd just go with the blame-shifting classic: "It was like that when I bought it."
Yes, I'm sure you must be able to manage a 16 inch somehow. Maybe you need a convertible...
