Interesting comment, I moved to QLD 11 years ago, (From Melb) and until that time I LOVED daylight savings, wouldnt be without it, now that I live here I would hate to have it, its so hot during summer months that the cooling breezes of the evenings would be missed an hour later, our kids wouldnt get to sleep because of the later heat etc. What people need to realise is that the east coast of QLD is as far east of Melbourne as Adelaide is west, we dont need the daylight to be extended here, its hot enough now without making the evenings hotter and the mornings cooler. we cant mow our lawns after 7pm as it is not allowed by the shire yet the ONLY time to mow your lawns in summer here is late in the daylight when it is cooler. Come here and experience life before arbitrary decisions are made on these issues. Melbourne needs and deserves daylight savings, Brisbane does not.
