Thanks Al, appreciate the reply and pointing me to the thread but
sadly this isnt the problem, the power just doesn't come on at all (little red led light wont even come on).
I also did the spreading the power pin etc
but still...
i'm kinda giving up i think
I suspect the problem must be with the little chips inside since no obvious burns appear to be on the circuit board?
