I've also never seen a star trek movie. Saw the TV series as a kid and liked the spaceship, but thought the stories mostly pretty ordinary. I did however really like the movie Galaxy Quest (with Sigourney Weaver) which is a fantastic satire of the genre and the devotees. Very funny and I would recommend it highly.
Dr Who, now that's another story....
