It was a bit hit and miss for Earth hour down here. I noticed less light but it could have been better. Timing it with no moon was a great idea, or coincidence.
We had fabulous dark skies [for the Mornington Peninsula] with a great view of Saturn and Orions Nebula. I had half an hour of peace, then I spent the next hour trying to get my 2yr old son to stay in bed.
