Exclamation CCD imaging method for Light Pollution measurement

Hi all,
I'm a 4th year physics student doing an experimental physics subject, and I'm looking for some journal articles or web pages with anything about using a CCD to measure the amount of light being scattered in the atmosphere from nearby light sources.

Anything relevant is appreciated, and I'd be willing to pass on my findings to any interested (the aim is to have a comparison between different locations and times of events such as Earth Hour).

Thanks in advance!
