Don't worry Mark, You will enjoy the views with it.
I have learnt through these forums to ignore the big black splotch in the centre of the FOV during daylight with the 2" 30mm SV. It is not there during night viewing.
The GS 2" 30mm SV is a real Galaxy magnet in a 12" Dobbie!!
