In my experience, when I write something down, I “see” the words in my mind and even though I review my posts reasonably diligently, I am often astounded by my capacity of self-deception!

I could swear that not only did I write exactly what I was thinking, but the paragraph is written faithfully and completely as per my thoughts.

Often later, when I have sufficient space, distance or time between what I actually wrote and what I thought I wrote, it is amazing to see, in plain B&W, the errors or omissions between perceived thoughts and actual keyboard presses. Whoops!

I am used to reviewing technical documents written by very smart people and it’s quite surprising how the author can become too saturated with their own work; so familiar with it that they cannot see what later turns out to be quite glaring errors or omissions.

Such is human nature.

Cheers
