Dob Dslr
Further to my last.
I've read the posts on various topics concerning achieving focus on a 8 inch dob with a dslr.
From most of the info I've managed to get hold of, refer to cutting the tube and moving the mirror up towards the secondary. A scary thought for a newbie like me.
Then the other day, somebody vastly more experienced that I, remarked why don't you just get longer primary bolts and springs made up and move the mirror that way.
I wasn't in a position to question the speaker, but had my mind working overtime for the next couple of days.
Any thoughts?
