Now, I've looked and looked and looked. I originally thought of the 450 D and had a pretty good knowledge. After reading Mike's post, I figured the 350D would be better to suit my needs and also allow for other less fancy, but still costly items to my ever changing shopping list.

I'm now looking at the 1000D twin lens package which I can get for less than $850 aus. The only thing that I noted different was that there is no automatic noise reduction, and other more cosmetic type changes.

Any comments on this a starting point!
