Some more images from my trip last year. This time, images of the dark, yet glamorous, Wieliczka Salt Mine which is near Krakow in Poland.
The mine reaches a depth of almost 330 metres and is over 300 km long. I did a tour which only spanned 3.5 km (about 1% of the total length).
It is an amazing place, and deservedly belongs on UNESCO's World Heritage Sites list.
The shot of the chapel looks like something out of Quake. I love it.
And, yes, everything you see is made from rock salt, even the chandeliers.
