Glad this little find has given so much pleasure to you guys .

I was pretty excited when I found the data last night actually, almost like actually imaging . Imaging is pretty lean for me these days, I had to do a double take to make sure I hadn't processed it already and when I realised I hadn't I couldn't for the life of me think how I forgot about it

Greg, I agree, read my post to Toms fantaistic effort on Omega Cen.

Houghy, I don't think this sort of thing happens very ofen, I should probably buy a lottery ticket

Gary, yes I am quite happy with how it turned out actually, when I realised how little data I had captured I wasn't very hopeful plus. I had only doen 2min exposures for this one rather than my staple 10min and I had only 3 X 2min darks fro this reason ( 10 X darks or more, median combined is much better) plus only flats taken on other nights were available.

Yes the AP does deliver pinpoint stars in good seeing plus diffraction spike free stars ... not that I don't like star spikes.

Alex, yes I don't get that smell enough ...but even with the bad rap they get, repro's and recrops are still fun

Mr Bluescope, your effort is perfectly ok, hard to take a bad image of Omega Cen really, bit like Elle Macpherson

Elle Macpherson huh??.....aaah, reminds me of my favourite cluster:

Cheers guys and here's to a narrow band image sometime soon
