Smile Saturn 28.1.09 - now with 4x the DATA :)

Hi Everyone,

After a few tries with only a little bit of data, and with encouragement from Trevor (Quark) and many others, I have attempted to add a few passes of the night of 28th January together to bolster the data. I was trying to figure out how I could get more than 30 secs on a high magnification pass with a DOB, and then realised I could stack multiple runs together in Registax and use the LOT. . I used Mike's trick of looking at the stack list and being brutal on the crappy frames to leave only the good ones. I think I am getting better at it. Increased the overall contrast to 200% to bring up the lightness of the disc.

Here is the latest effort from this stack of data, I hope you like it.

Details:

Scope: 305cm Skywatcher Flex Dob, FL = 1500mm
Camera: Philips Toucam Pro II @ Prime Focus
Magnification: 2.5x APO GSO Barlow
Frames: best 954 frames stacked in Registax from 4 passes of approx 30 secs each captured at 30 fps
Time: 14:40 - 15:02 UTC (4 separate captures)
Processing: LR deconvolution and Wavelets applied in Astra Image Pro, levels and wavelet touch up in GIMP

Thanks for looking.

Cheers

Chris
