Thanks for all the responses fellas.
Seems my idea of working the LX and a laptop off the same power source are evaporating like dew off a hot scope!
The Presario laptop really gulps through its own battery whilst running Autostar to the point where I am very wary of running it off the car battery.
It really is starting to look like two discrete power sources.
