Wilson should've got an Oscar!
It's been a long time since I watched the movie, but I seem to remember some parts of it were a bit lame. Its a tough movie to make IMO and make it entertaining.
...but Wilson was great!
If you want to find out how much Tom Hanks is into space stuff, What the extras on the Apollo 13 DVD, and watch the movie with the commentary on.
