not here , cut down a tree and they can take you to court,

your building envelope is usually decided by the council if there are trees on the block, how many trees come down is minimal, and trees can be as close as 4m or less. Which council..... shire of yarra ranges ... yep where the bushfires are !!!!

there is a local who at the advice of the CFA cut down some scrub , council took him to court 50,000 dollars and then some more money later he lost and was convicted. Guess whos building survived when those near him didnt. he was on the radio today.
