lol I like the gelatto vs Icecream comment.. Gelatto almost looks the goods, but when you get down to the nitty gritty of it, its just not the same!
My field is pretty heavily cropped to match the size of the ACS image of M42 that I found...
I would zoom in on a particular area.. however the comparison then is nowhere near as interesting
I'll add, my image was 40sec exposures... 20 mins data total
unguided..

There are areas in my image that show a lot of detail even zoomed right up.. I'll pick a good spot (something interesting) and post it up later tonight
